at a glance
- Exposed ductwork installation
- Black linear lighting throughout
- Integrated mechanical & electrical services
- Delivered in 10-week programme
- 7-day working schedule
Owens were proud to be awarded our first combined Mechanical and Electrical project in the artistic heart of Shoreditch—an area known for its creative energy, independent stores and vibrant café culture. The goal was to deliver a high-quality, fully exposed services installation in keeping with the minimalist “Shoreditch look” within a tight 10-week programme.
Working closely with Ruggles and Jeffery, CS2 and HDG Properties, our teams delivered a visually striking and technically efficient system that complemented the building’s industrial aesthetic. Engineers worked 7 days a week to meet the deadline, carefully integrating mechanical and electrical elements into the exposed interior. The installation was not only functional but also became a central design feature, with ductwork and lighting contributing to the space’s overall visual appeal.
“This project was a true collaboration of design and engineering. Delivering exposed services that not only function flawlessly but also enhance the space visually was a rewarding challenge. The team’s dedication— working seven days a week—made it possible to hit the tight deadline and achieve a finish we're all proud of.”
