Darren founded Owen ME in 1996 with the ambition to create a business rooted in technical expertise, quality service, and trust. Over nearly three decades, he has grown the company into a respected name in the M&E industry. With a leadership style grounded in experience and integrity, Darren continues to guide the business with a clear focus on innovation and long-term client relationships.
Callom oversees both mechanical and electrical operations at Owen ME, with particular strength in electrical systems thanks to his specialist background. From early-stage design to final commissioning, he manages project delivery with precision and oversight. Based in Wellingborough, Callom ensures that services—from fire alarms and data systems to HVAC and public health—are executed to the highest standards, balancing technical depth with team leadership and client focus.
Joining Owen ME’s leadership team in 2001, Derry brings over 30 years of technical and operational experience. His expertise in refrigeration systems and mechanical engineering underpins the company’s delivery across commercial and industrial sectors. Derry’s measured, practical approach supports the smooth execution of projects and reinforces Owen ME’s longstanding reputation for dependable, detail-oriented service.
As Director, Justin contributes deep experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on ventilation and air conditioning systems. Involved throughout project planning and execution, Justin ensures that installations meet performance expectations and regulatory standards. His ability to translate technical complexity into efficient, real-world solutions continues to drive the company’s growth in the building services sector.
Mark leads the service department at Owen Refrigeration, managing routine maintenance and emergency response across a wide portfolio of HVAC and refrigeration systems. With a structured approach and a strong understanding of field operations, he coordinates a skilled engineering team to deliver responsive, client-focused support. Mark’s leadership keeps systems running and customers confident in the reliability of service.
Ted supports the service team at Owen Refrigeration with deep technical insight and diagnostic expertise. As Technical Manager, he advises on complex challenges, guides field engineers, and helps uphold consistent service standards. Known for his calm problem-solving and practical knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, Ted is a trusted source of guidance within the team and across client sites.
Jason recently joined the office team at Owen Refrigeration as a Contracts Engineer, following 19 years of hands-on experience on site as a mechanical and electrical engineer. His extensive technical background and deep understanding of Owen's operations bring valuable insight to his new role, where he now supports projects from a contractual and coordination perspective. Jason’s long-standing commitment to the company and practical expertise make him a strong asset as he transitions into this new phase of his career.
Paul is our Stores Manager, where he is responsible for overseeing the store room and managing all aspects of transport logistics. With a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on efficiency, Paul ensures that all materials, tools and equipment are properly stored, tracked, and readily available for projects. He plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations by coordinating deliveries and collections, monitoring inventory levels and supporting the team with timely access to essential supplies. His organised approach helps keep projects on schedule and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the company’s operations.
Andrea keeps Owen ME running smoothly behind the scenes. She oversees all administrative and financial functions, from payroll and reporting to supplier management and budgeting. Her organisational skills and accuracy ensure operational stability and financial clarity, providing a strong foundation for the company’s day-to-day and strategic activities.
Victoria joined Owen ME in June 2025 to support the business across both operations and marketing. She contributes to contract preparation, internal process improvement, and the development of digital marketing assets. From refreshing the website to building a stronger case study portfolio and social media presence, Victoria helps connect the company’s technical work with its broader brand and communication goals.
